Yokogawa Electric Corporation announced that the company has been awarded the Promotion of Open Innovation

Award by the Director of the Japan Patent Office (JPO).It is part of the 2023 Intellectual Property Achievement Award.

The Japan Patent Office is a government agency under the Ministry of Economy,Industry and Technology (METI) of Japan.

The Intellectual Property Achievement Award is awarded annually by the Japanese Patent Office to individuals who

contribute to the development, dissemination, and recognition of the intellectual property system, as well as to

enterprises that effectively utilize the system and contribute to its smooth operation and development.

This award recognizes Yokogawa Electric's efforts in promoting open innovation. Specifically, on the occasion of Yokogawa

Electric's 100th anniversary in 2015, it established the corporate brand slogan of "Co innovating tomorrow" and expressed the

desire to create value together with customers; Establish open innovation organizations to promote cooperation in research and

development within the company and with external entities such as research institutions, universities, and client companies;

And establish overseas offices with open innovation functions.
