From January to June, the national shipbuilding completion volume was 18.5 million dwt, of which sea-going ships were 5.93 million modified gross tonnage; the new orders received were 22.46 million dwt, of which sea-going ships were 11.13 million modified gross tonnage. As of the end of June, the number of orders in hand was 102.74 million deadweight tons, a year-on-year increase of 18.6%, of which sea-going ships were 42.29 million revised gross tons, and export ships accounted for 88.7% of the total. The concentration ratio of the top 10 shipbuilding completion companies in the country is 70.9%, an increase of 1.6 percentage points from the end of 2021; the concentration ratio of the top 10 companies with new orders is 68.3%, a decrease of 1 percentage point from the end of 2021; the top 10 companies with orders on hand The enterprise concentration ratio is 66.5%, down 3 percentage points from the end of 2021.


According to reports, since the beginning of this year, the problems of blocking points in the supply chain of the shipbuilding industry chain have been basically solved, and the industry has tended to develop steadily and healthily.


There are frequent reports of good ship deliveries. On June 22, the world's largest 24,000 TEU container ship jointly built by China Shipbuilding Hudong-Zhonghua and CSSC was officially delivered. The ship was independently designed by Hudong-Zhonghua and is currently the largest container ship in the world. On June 27, the fourth ship in the series of 15,000 TEU dual-fuel ultra-large container ships built by China Shipbuilding Jiangnan Shipbuilding was officially signed and delivered. The ship uses liquefied natural gas (LNG) as the main fuel and has a tank capacity of 14,000 cubic meters. It can support ships to and from Asia and Europe routes.


Follow-up orders continued one after another. Recently, Jiangsu New Times Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and Mediterranean Shipping Company signed a construction contract for 20 LNG dual-fuel powered container ships, which is the largest single order for dual-fuel powered ships in China's shipbuilding industry.


"China's shipbuilding industry has overcome the adverse effects and has withstood the test, which fully reflects the resilience of industrial development." Li Yanqing, secretary-general of the China Shipbuilding Industry Association, said that in the first half of the year, Chinese shipbuilding companies have undertaken a large number of orders for gas ships and dual-fuel ships. As a result, Chinese shipbuilding enterprises have become important participants in the global energy revolution.
